Do you ever feel trapped by your very existance? As if the only viable option is obvious, if somewhat distasteful, but once inside the choice... once there is no point or chance to choose another path, the original idea, which once seemed so neccessary and sane, now seems foolish and akward? That is where I am now. I feel sick with anxiety that I have screwed up, and ill with worry that I will soon pay for my decisions, yet I still feel as though i have chosen the best option. I feel doomed.

Two days before my only friend in the world leaves. Two days before my closest companion these last 9 years leaves my life forever. Two days before I can organize my life. Two days before I can feel useful. Two days before i no longer have to sit here in Limbo. In two days I can pull myself out, dust myself off, and figure out who the fuck I am after all. In two days I will discover the truth behind these poisonous thoughts. In two days i will find out how much of this is me, and how much of it was her. In two days, I will either get better, or i will get worse.

I know what would have happened had I stayed behind with them. I know where I would be right now. I know how I would feel. I know where these poisonous thoughts would lead. I know who I would hate, and who I would blame, and I know that I would only be perpetuating a cycle begun so many years ago. I am thankful that I am not there. I am grateful that I am not with him. I don't have to worry about... I don't have to think about that anymore.

Here I can be different. I can heal. I can be better... I wonder if I will. What happens if it wasn't the people, the places, the things, the environment? WHat if it is the other way around, and those people were never poisoning me, but I was poisoning them? WHat if I am the monster? What if it was all my fault after all? Where do you go when there's nowhere left to run?

My line is drawn. My die is cast. My world is once more set in stone. What if I am the crack that I have been living in? what if i am the shadow that threatens? What if i really am the storm on the horizon? Will I destroy this life too?

The sky darkens, the thunder rolls, and the rains again sweep in.

Here I am, awake again. It is the middle of the night, and I am the only one conscious. Even the damned animals are asleep. The good news is that I am awake by my own decision, rather than being kept awake, as has been the case for the past few nights.

Meh, I don't want to talk about that. I don't want to talk about anything. I have been so scattered. My emotions have been across the board. I still hate her, but she has been alleviating that recently. I can't help but suspect her motives. I suppose the important parts are 1) she's leaving in about a week, 2) I know who my friends are, and 3) I'm still fighting the good fight. Or maybe that's just optimistic bullshit. It's so hard to tell sometimes. Hell, maybe I just need to get a life. I had one, but, to be brutally honest, it's not that big of a deal. I pretty much hate everything, and those few things that I don't hate always end up hurting me. How is it that lives can be so drastically different? Why do things happen to the people they do? Did I do something to deserve these things? Is it my lot in life to be hurt? Whatever. As they say, "What's done is done."
